【掲載情報】ルーマニアの研究チームが学術誌「Cancers」で「N-NOSE」を評価

2024年3月18日、スイスに拠点を置くMDPI社*が発行する腫瘍学術誌「Cancers」に、第三者機関の研究チーム（ルーマニア）によるがんスクリーニングに関する英語総説が掲載されました。

当論文は”Cancer Screening: Present Recommendations, the Development of Multi-Cancer Early Development Tests, and the Prospect of Universal Cancer Screening”（がんスクリーニング：現在の推奨、多種がん早期発見（MCED）検査の開発および普遍的がんスクリーニングの展望）というタイトルで発表されました。

論文では主に、MCED検査の最新の研究成果と今後の展望がまとめられております。また、無症状の段階での早期がん発見、高コストパフォーマンス、かつ低侵襲性のがん検査スクリーニングの可能性について考察されています。

その中でN-NOSEに関する論文が複数引用され、N-NOSEが革新的で高感度ながんスクリーニング検査として評価されています。

　　　”With the observation that C. elegans is attracted to urine from cancer patients,
　　　but avoids urine from healthy persons, a team led by Hirotsu et al. perfected
　　　an innovative, highly sensitive cancer screening test called N-Nose, which has
　　　been available in Japan since 2020.”

　　　evaluated in clinical studies with large cohorts of patients, showing reliable
　　　results. Also, the results have been replicated at other prestigious institutions
　　　in the US and Italy.”
　　　（重要なことは、N-NOSEの行動アッセイは、大規模なコホート患者を対象とした
　　　臨床研究で徹底的に評価され、信頼性の高い結果が得られているという点である。
　　　またこれらの結果は米国とイタリアの権威ある研究機関でも再現されている。）
