(Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative; Takaaki Hirotsu (Hereinafter referred to as “HIROTSU”)), has published a dialogue between renowned author Jun Ikeido, known for his novels such as “Downtown Rocket” and “Hanzawa Naoki series”, and our CEO Takaaki Hirotsu on our company website. The content is also included in the July 2024 issue of Bungeishunju, released today, courtesy of our company.
In this conversation, Jun Ikeido, who frequently explores Japanese scientific advancements in his works, and Takayuki Hirotsu, the developer and researcher behind “N-NOSE,” engage in an insightful discussion covering the exceptional innovation and societal impact of the nematode cancer test “N-NOSE,” which has garnered significant attention with over 600,000 participants.
Mr. Ikeido remarked, “In an era where university-developed technologies rarely reach practical application, what Mr. Hirotsu has achieved is truly remarkable. N-NOSE has the potential to aid in the early detection of cancers that are notoriously difficult to find, making a substantial societal contribution.”
Furthermore, during the dialogue, Mr. Ikeido emphasized, “It’s crucial for young people to be able to undergo cancer screenings easily,” and highlighted the importance of the nematode cancer test for individuals who are busy with work or child-rearing. He concluded the conversation by expressing his hope for Mr. Hirotsu to become “the Elon Musk of the cancer screening industry,” showing great expectations for the widespread adoption of this technology. The full dialogue is available not only on our company website but also in the July 2024 issue of Bungeishunju and on Bungeishunju Online, released today. We encourage you to read it.
