Director Barrett Comiskey
He graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1997 with a B.S. in Mathematics. While in school, he invented electronic ink, which is used in e-readers like Amazon Kindle. Based on this technology, he founded E Ink, Inc. a company that has since grown to a market capitalization of approximately $6 billion. In 2004, he earned an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business. He was recognized as a Technology Pioneer by the World Economic Forum and was the youngest inductee into the National Inventors Hall of Fame. In 2023, he joined our company as Director and CSO (current position).
Director Minoru Otsuki
In 2002, he joined Gakusei Engokai Co., Ltd. (Persol Career Co., Ltd.). In 2014, he entered Samantha Thavasa Japan Limited. In 2019, he became the head of the Accounting, Finance, and Legal Department of the same company. In 2021, he joined our company as the Head of Finance and Accounting. In 2022, appointed General Manager of Administration Division, and also appointed Director (current position).
Director Shunsuke Mizushima
In 2014, he joined Google Inc. as a new graduate. In 2016, he moved to RareJob Inc. As the CEO for three overseas subsidiaries, he was responsible for managing 500 employees. He executed the establishment of new subsidiaries, the integration of acquired companies, and mergers of subsidiaries. After stepping down as CEO of the overseas subsidiaries, he experienced a role as the Head of International Business at the headquarters. In 2022, he joined our company as the Head of Marketing and Overseas Business, and appointed as the Chief Marketing Officer/Chief Growth Officer. In 2023, appointed Director (current position).
Outside Director Shu Torigoe
In 1987, he joined Toppan Moore Co., Ltd. (now TOPPAN Edge Inc.). He served in various roles including Executive Officer and Head of New Business Development at the company. In 2023, he became the Director of the Central Research Institute at TOPPAN Edge Inc. (current position). Also in 2023, he was appointed as an External Director of our company.
CFO Noritaka Abe
Noritaka Abe brings over 25 years of experience across diverse financial functions. Prior to Hirotsu Bio Science, he held leadership positions at Nomura Holdings. As an Executive Director, he tackled various challenges and gained valuable private equity experience, particularly during a secondment to Japan-China Capital Partners as Chief Administration Officer. Before that, He relocated to Singapore in 2017 to support Asia’s regional head to spearhead regional business expansion in Asia. Mr. Abe joined Nomura in 2006 and spent 12 years overseeing the Treasury business globally, based in Tokyo and London. He excelled as Head of Funding, managing domestic and international financing exceptionally. Before Nomura, Mr. Abe honed his financial acumen at Mitsubishi UFJ (formerly Sanwa Bank). He gained comprehensive experience in core financial functions through roles in SME sales, foreign exchange, and asset-liability management.
CTO Eric di Luccio
In 2003, heGraduated with a Ph.D. in Neuroscience/Structural Biology from the University of the Mediterranean (Aix-Marseille University, France). In the same year, he joined the Department of Molecular Biology and the Department of Computer Science at the University of California, Davis (USA) as a researcher. In 2010, he became an Assistant Professor at Kyungpook National University (South Korea), and in 2014, he was promoted to Associate Professor at the same university. He joined our company in 2020 as the head of the Shonan R&D Center. In 2022, he assumed the additional roles of Executive Officer, Chief Technology Officer (CTO), and Head of Research and Development at our company (current position).
CPO Kenichi Hirata
In 1996, he joined Daiwa Electron LTD. In 2002, he moved to OKUMURA Yu-Ki Co., Ltd. In 2015, he joined Daikoku Denki Co., Ltd. where he served as the procurement head and concurrently ran the business development office, overseeing the development and launch of mass production processes for the company's products. He joined our company in 2020 as the Head of the Procurement Department. In 2023, he was appointed as the Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) (current position).
CRO/Head of Sales Division Eiji Yamamoto
In 2002, he joined Recruit Staffing Co., Ltd. He served in various roles, including General Manager of Sales Department and General Manager of Business Management Department. In 2021, he took charge of launching inside sales as the Vice President of a company operating a matching platform. In 2023, he joined our company as the Executive Officer (CRO)(current position).
CCSO Nobuyuki Saeki
After graduating from university, he started his career in sales in the electric power business before joining a distribution and retail company listed on the first section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange. As a director, he produced and managed the operation of a commercial complex, and experienced business revitalization and new business development as a senior managing executive officer at an M&A company. Later, he became the human resources manager of a cell phone sales agency, where he was responsible for organizational development, including hiring and designing the human resources system. He joined the company in 2024 and was appointed as Executive Officer (CCSO).

He served as Bank of Japan Kofu Branch Manager, Hiroshima Branch Manager, Information System Services Department Manager. Served as The Tokyo Tomin Bank Managing Director, Representative Director, Tomin Management Research Institute Representative Director. In 2011, he became a Senior Advisor at Aflac, and in 2013, he concurrently served as an External Director at Hiroshima Bank. In 2000, She joined SBI Holdings, Inc. In 2015, She moved to Yahoo Japan Corporation. In 2019, She joined ShiSai Audit as a Partner. Consultants Tatsuyuki Nio, M.D.
Graduated from Miyazaki Medical College in 1988. The same year, he joined the Second Internal Medicine Department, Digestive and Lifestyle Diseases, Kagoshima University Graduate School of Medical and Dental Sciences that same year. In 1996, he began working at Nanpuh Hospital. In 2007, he became the Director, Gastroenterology Department, and in 2014, he was appointed as the Director, Gastroenterology Center. He Took early notice of the effectiveness of N-NOSE nematode cancer screening, and started full-scale clinical research as supervisor while employed at Nanpuh Hospital. He left from Nampu Hospital in March 2018. He was appointed the Director, Clinic First Nishiaira, in April.

Assistant Lawson, Inc. CEO (in charge of HR and healthcare), concurrently served on the health promotion project. He served as Lawson Executive Officer and Service Head Office Manager, former Japan Post Network Co., Ltd. He was appointed Executive Officer and Tokyo Branch Manager, and from 2013 has promoted the Health Action Plan, which aims to better health checkup rates and improve lifestyle habits. From 2013, he has served on the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology’s Experts’ Committee on Food Education. He was appointed Director of our company in 2018, and an advisor in April 2020.

He graduated from Teikyo University School of Medicine, and joined The First Internal Medicine Department, Teikyo University Hospital. In 1997, he began working in the Department of Gastroenterology, Ageo Central General Hospital, Aiyu-kai Medical Corporation. In 2010, he took on a concurrent position as Visiting Associate Professor at Saitama Medical Center. In 2011, he became the Deputy Director, Ageo Central General Hospital. In 2016, he also served as the Adviser, Internal Medicine Department, Center for Advanced Treatment of Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Diseases, Ageo Central General Hospital. In 2017, he concurrently held the position of Visiting Professor, Saitama Medical Center.
Officer Ken Matsuzawa
Graduated from Aoyama Gakuin University in 1960 and joined NIPPONKOA INSURANCE CO., LTD. In 2001, he became the Representative Director, President and Chief Executive Officer. In 2003, he served as the Chairman of the General Insurance Association of Japan. From 2005, he has been the Board Chairman of Aoyama Gakuin. In 2007, he became the Chairman of NIPPONKOA INSURANCE CO., LTD. Currently, he holds several positions including Chairman of the Federation of Economic Organizations (FEC) since 2011, a councilor for the Japan Opera Foundation since 2012. He became representative of the International Comprehensive Research Institute, Chairman of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Friendship Association, National Chairman of the Police Friendship Association, Chairman of Japan-Palau International Friendship Association, Chairman of theapan-Marshall Islands Friendship Association, and Chairman of Japan-Azerbaijan Friendship Association since 2013.
